Biden Toughens Car Emissions Rules

  1. The Biden administration announced aggressive tailpipe emissions standards as part of its climate agenda to push for the purchase of electric vehicles.
  2. The standards would have effects on car models from 2027 to 2032, save consumers an average of $12,000 over the lifetime of their vehicles, as well as reduce carbon emissions by nearly 10 billion tons by the year 2055.
  3. Critics say gas car prices will rise, but can we put a price on cleaner air? 🌬️
  4. The administration believes the regulations will contribute to the acceleration of the clean vehicle transition and reduction of oil imports by 20 billion barrels.
  5. Critics argue that the regulations would increase the prices of traditional gas-powered cars and benefit expensive electric alternatives.
  6. The White House predicts that 67% of the new sedan, crossover, SUV, and light truck purchases could be electric by 2032, with a significant portion of other vehicles also being electric.
  7. White House predicts a 67% electric takeover by 2032, but are they just dreamin’ big? 🤔
  8. Gas-powered cars currently represent 93% of recent car sales, with EVs being less efficient and more expensive.
  9. Republican lawmakers criticized the regulations as being draconian and also anti-American

FIA: Under Pressure to Award Hamilton Championship

Hold on to your helmets, folks! Lewis Hamilton fans are still relentlessly petitioning the FIA to overturn the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix result, as if a fresh set of tires and a comeback win by Max Verstappen were just too hard to swallow. With over 80,000 signatures on their petition, they’re not giving up, but the FIA isn’t budging either. It’s like trying to un-eat that last slice of pizza – it simply can’t be done.

As time marches on, and rule changes have already been implemented, the FIA seems to have moved past the issue. But fan loyalty? That’s forever, my friends. While these dedicated fans keep fighting the good fight, Verstappen isn’t wasting any time looking back. He’s soaring with Red Bull, having scored two wins in the first three races of the 2023 season. Who needs a flux capacitor when you’ve got wings?
