Have You Also Been Disappointed with The First VinFast Electric SUVs? 45 customers in California just purchased the first U.S.-bound VF 8 electric SUV.

After months of prepping and certification of the 999 examples of VF that were launched in November of last year, the VF 8 models are now officially on sale, yet has let down many of our expectations…

Apparently, the vehicle’s EPA driving range is lower than what has been expected. Besides, the latest changes applied to the price of the VF 8 sport-ute led to doubts as to whether the Vietnamese automaker has overpromised on several occasions.

The VinFast VF8 City Edition Eco boasts 348 horsepower, all-wheel-drive, according to VinFast, and has 207 miles of driving range. When it comes to pricing, after a customer completes a down payment of $5,174, the vehicle will be available as part of a two-year lease for $399 per month. Keep in mind, however, that almost every EV sold in the U.S. has better than 207 miles of range, including many vehicles that cost thousands less than the VF 8.

On the other hand, VF 8 City Edition, is equipped a bit more generously, with higher standard features including a panoramic sunroof, and 20-inch alloy wheels, in addition to bumps powering to 402 hp. The City Edition of V8 is offered with a two-year lease, after paying an amount of $5,413 at signing, which goes hand-in-hand with a monthly payment of $599.V8 in action
